My wife and I recently purchased a loft style condominium on the fifth floor of Shoeworks Lofts and I wanted to share my experience of working with Tandem Developers with other prospective home buyers.

My wife and I had been shopping around for a condominium (new construction) in the Milwaukee area and instantly fell in love with the condos at Shoeworks Lofts. The sales associate with Garrison Partners did a wonderful job of showing us all the available units and floor plans for sale at Shoeworks. The incentives offered with the units far exceeded those offered by other builders in the metropolitan area, and made purchasing a unit form Tandem that much more inviting.

We finally settled on a fifth floor unit; 2 bed, 2 bath with a balcony facing the east; it was the magnificent view of downtown Milwaukee that made this unit a must-have for us. With a unit selected, it was time to sit down with a designer and begin selecting the interior accessories for the condo. My wife sat down with a designer who helped her to pick out the floor coverings, cabinets, countertops, appliances, faucets, etc. She did a great job at helping to coordinate ceramic floor colors with countertop colors, hardwood floor options with cabinet options; it was good to know that once all the options were selected that we would have a home that flowed together and fit our style.

The final upgrade options were completed less than two months prior to our closing date, which became a concern of ours thinking that closing would have to be pushed back. This was not something my wife and I could afford because the lease on our apartment expired one week after the closing date. We informed Tandem of our concerns and they assured us that everything would be completed four to five days prior of closing. I thought to myself, there is no way they are going to get all the flooring, cabinets, countertops, etc installed in less than seven weeks. To my surprise, Tandem completed everything a day ahead of schedule which meant my wife and I would be on our way to becoming first time home buyers on the agreed upon closing date.

A Tandem associate hepled us walk through the unit to perform a final walk-through inspection, and was very qiuck to assure us that anything we felt needed a little touch up would be redone and finished before closing. And true to their word, all the touch ups and last minute items were completed by the morning of closing.

My wife and I have been living in our condo for about a month now and we couldn't be any happier with our choice to purchase a unit from Tandem Developers. Every time one of our relatives stops by to see our new place, they go home raving about it; from the look of the exterior of the building to the fine craftsmanship of the interior. Tandem has helped us reach our dream of owning a beautiful condominium in downtown Milwaukee.
